This great composer has passed away at only 61. He was apparantly killed in a plane crash. Very sad to hear, he was among my top 5 composers

His music will live on in the films

UK news had that he was flying himself only in a light aircraft.
I quote from the BBC "A trained pilot, he is reported to have been alone aboard a small private plane which crashed north of Santa Barbara on Monday morning."

Extremely sad, much too young, but at least no-one else was killed injured in the crash.
