I see from the BBC website that George Cole has passed away aged 90. Very sad but he'll always be remembered as a brilliant comic actor in tv's "MINDER" not to mention all those 50s British comedies he enlivened such as one of my favourites "THE GREEN MAN". He was mentored by Alastair Sim and it showed.

What a shame Paul. He was a firm favourite of mine. A good innings it has to be said, but yet another gone this year sadly.

Only Watched George the other day in 'Our Girl Friday' aka 'Adventures of Sadie' with Joan Collins & Kenneth More. We used to have a 'Arthur Daley' near us, I guess every-one knew a 'Arthur Daley',R.I.P George...
What a great actor he was - especially in TV land - Arthur Daley was an absolutely brilliant creation. He will be sadly missed - I will go through my 8mm collection and put on a few prints that he had supporting roles in.
