not available in the UK i purchased the digibook release put out by Warner Bros in america. i was never too keen on the quality. i have now however bought from Amazon italy a 2 disc(1 blu ray 1 dvd)region B release by another company.the feature(english sound) on the blu ray in my opinion is much better than warners release. the dvd has the complete 1925 THE LOST WORLD. excellent quality with english title cards. also there is an interview with Fay Wray in her later years.which is in english. cost with postage to uk £12 HIGHLY RECCOMENDED.

hi Mark. well the american release i had was very dark and very grainy. this italian release still has grain. more in some scenes than in others.like the american release.i think it was always a grainy film. but overall i think its better. and not as dark a picture. but if you dont like grain in films. give it a miss.

From the review I read on "bluray.com", Kong has a good deal of inherent grain, due to the special effects used at the time and you can only get so much of the grain out of it without it looking, well, kind of "plastic" image wise.
I've seen it and I'm surprised to see just how good an ancient film like that can actually look!
