How many of you would be interrested in a super 8 feature print of "Hoodwinked" (2005), a hilarious CGI feature film. It would be in the letterboxed format, not scope, so you wouldn't need a lense, and at 80 minutes total (including credits), it would easily be a 3X600ft release.

I'm guaging interest in this as a feature fro a friend, who can secure a mint condition print of this.

I've been wondering that myself. i know that a lot of these features that are/have been released in the near past, have been around two hours or more, and run around, (if I'm correct) 1.000.00 dollars, (could someone give me a hint at recent prices?) ...

but "Hoodwinked" in just 80 minutes, (and if we could do it, we could make it even shorter by shortening the credits which, on an CGI film, tend to be around 4 minutes or more of the film), so it would be a good deal less.

Also, another idea I've been rolling around in my head, is perhaps seeing this released as seperate reels, "Red's Story" "Wolf's Story" ect, as well as the full feature. just a thought.

Osi, it's a fun movie for sure, but in my humble opinion it's not worth the outlay;Iron Giant however... [Wink]

Osi, does your friend have permission from the rights holders to strike prints?

I don't he has that, (rights permission), I could ask him ...

... but that doesn't seem to have stopped how many available features are out there right now to be purchased brand new from assorted sources. [Smile]

Yes, but I wouldn't touch these features you referenced with a 10-foot pole given their dubious origins from a copyright perspective. All one has to do is to look at this YouTube link (that had contained a segment of the Super 8 print of Captain America) to see that the studios indeed are paying attention:

I'm sure that they mean well, but I wish collectors didn't put such items on You Tube! Everyone is of course very welcome to not support any releases that has a rather indistinct copyright status, but we would probably all agree that it would be terrible if no lab was left that prints ANYTHING on Super 8.
