I have a Mitsubishi XD250U rear dlp projector that I need a 10 foot 3 prong power cord for. The 6 ft is too short and I can order one off ebay but they have different Amp ratings from 1 amp up to 15 amp.

My question is what amp rating do I need for this projector?
Thanks and any information on the subject would be greatly appreciated! [Smile]

Hi Roger,

Is there a fuse holder on the body of the machine? Is there a label "Use only ?? Amp fuse"?

-or-

What does the ratings panel say? "115VAC @ ?? Amps (?? watts)"?

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your speedy reply! There is no fuse holder or fuses and I just mounted the projector on the ceiling so it's upside down now and I can't read any information off the panel? Sorry I can't answer your questions.

OK,

These folks publish sets of ratings:

Mitsubishi XD250U

-and more...

-including 330 Watts maximum. 330 Watts at 115VAC works out to a little less than 3 Amps. I like to do at least double: 6 Amps or more.
