Renown were selling DVDs at the Harpenden 9.5 event Sunday, same prices as TV special offers. I bought the "Films With a Beat" music films of the 50s & 60's three disc/7 film set for £15.

For members who may not be familiar with Renown they were the British equivalent of Monogram and Allied Artists in the USA. Monogram were "Poverty Row" producers in the 30s and 40s. They changed their name to Allied Artists and produced some bigger budgets films of which William Wyler's "Friendly Persuasion" in 1956 is the best known. Likewise Renown started with low budget B pictures and gradually became more ambitious. "A Christmas Carol" with Alastair Sim is shown frequently on tv. Here a link to the Renown website:
