Just browsing the Sky electronic TV guide movie section when I noticed that 'Talking Pictures TV' have a couple of Castle Films 1 reel releases scheduled.

They are listed under the umbrella title of 'Glimpses'.

On 24th April at 11.50pm, they have 'Dr Cyclops'. The description actually says 'Castle Films presents'.

On the 26th at 8.35pm they are showing 'Wide Open Town', described as 'Extracts....staring William Boyd as Hopalong Cassidy'

Both films are in a 10 min slot.

Don't know if they have been showing Castle films for a while as I don't usually check the electronic guide much and Talking Pictures TV doesn't seem to be in any published paper TV guides.

I'm guessing they will be 16mm prints used and it will be interesting (and a bit weird) to see a 'cut down' on TV.

I will keep an eye on the electronic TV guide in case they show some package movie gems that I could never afford back in the day.

I have seen at least one shown earlier. I noticed the Castle Films logo at the end, but can't remember what it was now.

The Hopalong Cassidy film was the 1 reel silent version with a dubbed music track. I love this channel!
