I'm always, endlessly fascinated when I see old Kodachrome standard 8mm from the 1930's (Trivia, Kodachrome was first introduced in 1936 for standard 8mm).
It's just seeing everyday life in America in 1930's that does it for me. The very last bits of the old west could still be actively seen in day to day life, even in the 30's (espcially in old footage shot in the western states), and clothing ect ect showed faint traces of the past ...
... which, after World War 2, was gone.
