I was passing through Leicester on Monday and found a shop selling all sorts of things, books, model railways, Meccano parts (all second hand) and some 8mm films, spools and cameras. This is the window display
I didn't go in due to the amount of luggage I was carrying. The owner looked far from young and there are not many of this sort of shops around now.

There are some very yummy titles there! I have always admired and been a tad bit jealous of you folks over in the U.K., as you guys kept the super 8 film hobby going for far longer and STILL, to this day, have a number of choices to go to for collecting Super 8!

Many, many years ago, Leicester had two great cine shops.
1) Sarson's Screen Services (aka United Film Services) run by Bob Sarson. I had regular dealings with him and got many bargains in 16mm films and equipment.
2) Frank E. Jessop who used to sell (amongst other things) short 16mm musicals known as "Musical Miniatures", later to be released on 9.5mm sound by Pathescope. From this inauspicious start the great company of Jessops evolved.
