Boy! You're not kidding.
I'm still amazed that such a big money-maker when it came out, has not gotten the bluray restoration treatment. I'd love to see a full restoration.
I have this on super 8 as well, but, as yours did, so has mine. it was printed on Kodak SP, and while some sections seem to have more passable color than other, the blacks are brownish. I still hold out hope that this was re-printed by some other company on low fade stock, or i just happen to luck out on a very well stored Kodak SP that hasn't succumbed to the ravages of fade yet, (which I could then store properly in the fridge!)

I've never seen a good color one, partially good color, but I've always been in search for it, but this DVD, I think, is the original run time, where the ABC super 8 release is the slightly edited re-release version.
