In October last year I placed an order with Van Eck Video Services. Soon after, I began to receive unsolicited e-mail advertising with the .nl Internet Domain Suffix. I'd not ever received such e-mail messages prior to my purchase and, although these messages have begun to taper off, they came in a constant barrage for months from different senders (I unsubscribed from each upon receipt). I don't know if this phenomenon is linked to my purchase. Has anyone else experienced this nuisance?

Thanks, Maurice. As I recall, I had to use some payment service unfamiliar to me when placing the order (I can't remember the name). I wonder if that service sold my e-mail address. It seems impossible that it's sheer coincidence (I didn't transact business with anyone else in the Netherlands in that time frame).

I have bought from Van-Eck a couple months back and no problem emails for me. As you suspect, it may be tied to the different payment service that you used.

Sometimes it’s best to let these emails go if you have a block feature with your email use that by unsubscribing it lets them know that you do exist then your email address might get sold to some other company.
