UK BBC viewer alert - BBC 1 Friday (12th) 4.30 pm.
The excellent series 'Repair Shop', where an expert team repair and refurbish just about anything will be tackling a 1960's cine projector.
Judging by a glimpse during tonight's episode it looks to be a Eumig P8.
Should be worth a look!

I almost bought a P8 Phonomatic from a book shop (I kid you not) about a week ago, but decided I had too many to add another. The old lady in the shop saw me looking and dragged me in to see it more closely. I t was in first class condition but I did feel I was in the shop in "last of the Summer Wine" with Jean Alexandra.

I just missed the programme, but here's the picture of the projector I was looking at:-

I don't think that copy of Philadelphia would fit on it. :-)

It was ok. A nice backstory.

Although I do question the wisdom of cleaning up a gooey belt and then running a film before cleaning the gate... [Roll Eyes]
