Amen to that, Mike!
These storms are a force of nature that make us look pretty small.
I will remember Hurricane Sandy for a very long time.
My cousin was over from Germany, on his way to deliver a Physics lecture at Cal Tech. (...he's pretty smart!) He stopped in to spend a day with us.
We got him on his plane to California about 12 hours before the storm hit. Good thing too: he would have been stuck with us in the dark for quite a while!

I "third" that as well!
Keep safe, fellow members, as it looks like this hurricane is actually gaining power instead of losing power as it nears the coast.

I have some good customers in Florida! I wish them well! Be safe! I have been keeping up with this storm. And it does not look good. They say it should reach Florida by the weekend! I'll be praying for them!

Storm is over
Everything is ok in Brooksville

A couple of nights ago I was wishing I was in Brooksville with Chip, as he is about 60 miles further west than here. All I can say is that by some miracle we escaped Dorian's wrath, just a slight shift in the path and Orlando would have been a catastrophic disaster zone. Hurricane Charley in 2004 was a high Cat 1 which went right over the city causing immense damage. This one was a CAT 5 when it started heading up the east coast. Time to be very very thankful!

But Paul, why wait for a mega storm to come see my place. You know how much I want you to come over and see what I can do

If there are any collectors out there in the Bahama's, (probably are), our heartfelt wishes for those folks out there, (whether collectors or not), as they were hit quite terribly by this storm.
