This morning I checked in to the BFCC site to find the date has changed to May 22, one week later. Now I need to change my flights, my hotel and my work schedule. You're not making it easy for me to cross the pond, are you? Doug

Yes it is true the next BFCC is one week later, Keith Wilton phoned me this morning about it, it looks like Ealing Council has double booked or mistakenly booked it a week later than planned (in other words someone has messed up along the line). The revised date is Saturday May 22nd, doors opening at 10 p.m. as usual. I'll be there, and I hope to meet many of you there.

As unbelievable as this is I'm afraid it's true. It's been panic stations over the last couple of days. I couldn't get onto the forum from home so couldn't fill you all in.
We need everyone to rally round on this one. Not least because there are other people like Doug whom we need to let know the date has changed. In particular someone from Ireland telephoned Keith recently to check the date (and of course we confirmed the wrong date). We don't know the name or contact details of this person but Keith remembers it was possibly a small group of collectors coming from Ireland.
We also need to inform those collectors from Italy, Greece, Portugal and Belgium. Hopefully we've got the contact details for most of these as well as our friends from the US but please everyone pass the information on to every collector you know. We don't want anyone making a wasted trip on the wrong Saturday.
I'll be emailing everyone I can get to in the coming days so you'll most likely all hear from me again.
Finally, anyone wanting a table to sell on the 22nd please get in touch with me and I'll get Keith onto it.

Hi John, How many tables can I bring along to sell! But I think we will leave Keith off them!!! as people might just get the wrong idea about film conventions.

Let's see.......I switched the flights.........changed the dates at the hotel.......cleared the work schedule........I should probably tell my wife at some point. I'm really looking forward to making this 8mm pilgrimage, this Super 8 sojourn. Aside from the BFCC, Gary at Derann has kindly invited me to visit and Tony assures me we can sneak into Ian O'Reilly's place while he's asleep. I know Classic is closed Thursdays, which would be my only chance to go, but I'm sure I'll meet Phil and also Paul Foster in Ealing. I can't wait for that toasty warm beer with Tony and Mike Peckham. I know it's quite a rare occurrence, but there is the possibility of being granted an audience with Mr. Elmo, and Steve Osborne has asked me to write an article for The Reel Image. If only there was something else to do in London aside from visit the 8mm sites! Doug

Let me know your travel diary Doug. You're very welcome to come round and talk, watch, eat movies at my London abode. But bring a good supply of toothpicks - polyester does get stuck in the teeth!!! And I think you probably need a visit to Wilton of Ealing too.
Brilliant that you're making such an effort.
