Lately my wife has been complaining about the size of my......film collection. I have to admit to an increase in difficulty in storing them all in one (large) closet. It seems like a good idea to see where I stand compared to you fellows.

60 Features (includes 4x400's)

6 (1x600)

16 (3x400)

18 (2x400)

73 (1x400)

3 (4x200) The 4 parters Jason, Sinbad, Cleopatra.

148 (1x200)

I think I should stop buying for little bit. Like a decade.

Doug

I see Mark and his Loose Nuts had posted a similar thread earlier on the other forum. Great minds (and ours, too!) think alike.

Hi Doug yes I have over there, only thing is my film numbers are very small at the mo, still in single figures as you will have seen.
I`m going to concentrate on getting sme nice 400 digests as it suits my pocket, though of course colour really is an issue now, but they can be great fun.
As of today.
4 400`s and one 2x400 in film, though expecting two more 400`s.
Best Mark.
PS and one PJ.

I hope you've got that lot insured?! Selling all those would probably raise enough for a down payment on a small country [Wink] .

Need to go and do a list but I think it's going to be quite a bit smaller [Frown] .

Sure, we all know what a great investment Super 8 is in the long run. [Razz]

Hi! Well, in my almost 30 years of collecting, I have also built up quite a collection. Through the years, I have sold & traded some off, but this is about what I have now-

14- features

9- 3 x 400 footers

6- 2 x 400 footers

5- 600 footers

40- 400 footers (digests and shorts)

50- 200 footers

-plus about 3000 feet of home movies.

These films can take up quite a bit of space. One of the reasons I have choosen super 8 over 16mm since I started collecting is the nice compact size. Just imagine needing twice the space of whatever you have for 16mm.

I have managed to keep my collection confined to a nice sized shelf unit in my basement.

Nick.
