Well chaps, I've finally bitten the bullet and ordered the last remaining Eumig 810D from Phil at CHC.

He's giving it a thorough check over and setting it up for Standard 8 for me prior to despatch. Apparently it is in excellent to mint condition with all accessories, cover, handbook, microphone, take-up reel, etc. so for £120, I couldn't say no, particularly as one on eBay just went for over £140!

Thanks to one and all once again for the wealth of information and input in helping me choose a Standard 8 Sound machine.

Dave.

Valves and celluloid - a great combination!
Early technology rules OK!

Good boy, a good duel projector, and the sound quality they produce is very good, my Brother swears by them and apart from a little slow down has never had much trouble, bit like us, as time goes by we slow down to [Big Grin] . If it happens its easily remedied. You wont regret it mate. [Wink]
