I was curious. I know that Japan had and still has a Single 8 scene happening. But did they ever release Digests and Features?
I don't think I have ever seen any Super 8 films from Japan.

Not sure what you mean, exactly - super-8 features released in Japan by Japanese companies and with Japanese dialogue?

Yes, if you mean digest, I've seen once Bruce Lee digest where the box was written by Japanese characters (Kanji) and none roman letters at all. So I believe it was released by a Japanese company. As I checked throughout the reel, nothing good color left, all faded.

I got answers today. The message is that there were a lot of companies in Japan which have produced (distributed) 8mm digests.

Look here:

and it seems they were printed in USA like the german, spanish, french versions, because of the blue reels.
