My guess is that someone offered to take all three projectors, and she decided to take the offer...

(which is a bit of a silly thing to do since she'd probably get more letting the auction run).

I can't see what the value of spoofing an auction for a film projector would be....

I was thinking the same as well. Hope she got a good price for it.

GS1200 Xenon with Elmo 1.0...great combo along with a 16-CL Xenon for that super bright white light.

Steven, good one, didn't think of that. I kind of figured she really did not know what she had there but began to realize it once the bids were shooting up, so now she's hanging on to all 3 of them... no, wait, that doesn't make much sense, does it... In any case, I went ahead and asked her point-blank what happened. If I get a reply you can be sure to hear about it from me...

Considering that the seller has good feedback, some of which refers to cine items and films, I'm inclined to think that it was a genuine listing. My guess is that someone, possibly a dealer, made her a tempting offer for all three.

You're almost right, Adrian. She replied to my question and here's what she had to say:

Hi
I have ended the auction as soemone from the UK is having one or both the xenon projectors. It depends if he can get all the money together

What a strange, vague answer! If it's true, it certainly does not sound a sensible way to maximise the revenue.

Agreed. [Eek!] I guess now we'll never know how much she's getting... [Eek!]
