As many of you know (I only mention it all the time ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif) ) I have an Elmo ST-1200HD, magnetic-only model... just got hold of a DOA/for-parts ST-1200D as well, which is missing several components but seems to have the complete optical-sound assembly present.
Yes, you guessed it - Mr. Mad Scientist is thinking of putting that optical sound assembly in his ST-1200HD... but would this even be possible? Does a magnetic-only projector have the necessary connections for optical sound pickup (on the amplifier board)?
