My Towers and rewind bench have the 3/16” Rounthane belting and it works very good. Haven’t tried it inside a projector yet but I think it would really work. Maybe it should not be a normal belt, but it could be used as a temporary belt while the proper one is on order. I checked the belting against an old pulley removed from an ST1200. It does seem slightly big, but still would work. I think the problem here would be snaking it between the main drive pulliey above the shutter wheel directly under the carry handle nut assembly (on the left side with the gear box open using an ST1200 as a guide).

The idea is simple. Cut the belt to the size needed, and connect by inserting the special bulley connector INSIDE the belt. Once you have the proper length you get a snug fit with no slipping.

On the left side of the website use the keyword option and type ROUNTHANE to search out the product.

Purchase the belting with 50 feet and 10 connectors to get the best price. This is a big company as they have other divisions for pullies and gears! Maybe you could get projector parts remanufactured like Tom did in the UK! Hooray!!!

Drool... I only wish I had known of this site much sooner, before I used parts from a B&H super-8 projector to construct the upper sprocket on my Bauer T450... but wow... [Smile]
