I remember, many years ago, when Derek announced that Derann could not continue to demand that no lab splices appeared within reels, as it caused too much wastage. I expect most people would agree that this is fair enough, but I really think that labs should not put a splice in a trailer - it seems much more intrusive when you have only bought about 2 minutes of film! I just ran a new trailer, that not only has a splice in the middle of a scene, but the colour balance significantly changes afterwards! The least they could do is make the cut where the scene changes, to make it less obvious. I think I'll have to request a replacement.
