Hi Winbert,

Yes, this will cut 16mm wide film down to projectable 8mm, but only if the perforations are correct in the first place.

Therefore it's most accurate to say this is for use with Double 8mm (standard 8) or Double Super-8.

If you started with film perfed for 16mm you would wind up with just some film cut down the middle and nothing usable!
