There is a good jazz-music cartoon called "Sunbeam". I think it was made in the 70's, but has a 30's-40's style of animation and music.
Does anyone know if this was ever released on super 8? I saw the same title listed on Ebay quite some time ago, but I'm not sure if it was the same cartoon.

Yes, it was a US release in the early 1980s. I have a copy - runs approx 5 mins. It's a nice print and the colour is still fine on mine.
One interesting thing is that the box label says "An exclusive release from PO-FLAKE PRODUCTIONS". There might be a story behind this, as I've never heard of them releasing anything else. Maybe the film-makers were involved in this.

I'm sure it was a US release. The box and even the reel are typical of US early 80s releases, and if it had been a UK release, it would have been easier to find here. I have a vague recollection of it costing far more than a UK release, due to it being an import.
I always think the Super 8 distributors that hardly released anything would be a great subject for an article, if anyone was willing to do the research!
