I picked up a Bolex 18-5 at a ridiculously low price...but I cannot find anyway to adjust the frame line so it does not appear in the picture. How do you do this on this projector?.. I see no knob for this...this model is the manual thread with two sprockets.

On the auto thread model there is a "drum" between the hinges of the lens holder; by turning this one with your thumb you can get the gate up and down. It might be the same with you model.

On the Bolex-Paillard 18-5 Super 8 Projector, you'll have to use knob #14:

Thank you Alexander, this was the most disguised control, I had ever seen. Without a manual, Steve Jobs would of had difficulty with this one.
Apparently, in the Super 8 models , they re-designed a more obvious one.

The "drum" control that Alexander refers to is also used on the Specto Royale (and variants) projector; very clever scheme!
