Do you mean model 3000S?

If so, this was made by Chinon in Japan. It is very similar to the Chinon Sound 8000.

I do not have this particular model, although I do have Chinon Sound SP-330, Chinon Sound 7500 and Chinon Sound 8500.

Whilst not perhaps "top drawer" they are good projectors.

I had the Model 2000 with the Sears branding. It scratched whatever I ran through it even after a good cleaning. And it arrived nice and clean from the seller. It also is not that quiet when running. I returned it to the seller for a refund. The model 3000S has a nice bright lamp but other than that, I don't think much of it. Be sure when you buy another projector the seller allows returns. There are bargains out there if you are patient. But I would shop for a high end Chinon or Sankyo. The lower models have low wattage projector lamps. Later on, I would buy a Elmo and keep the other projector as a backup.
