Train travellers may like to know that it has just become possible to book cheap advance tickets for the appropriate days both ways, so fast booking is advised if you want the lower prices. E.g. if you look for the cheapest tickets, you can travel from London to Blackpool North for £20.50 (13:33) on the Friday or £15.50 (07:30) on the Saturday. If returning on the Monday, there are £15.50 trains so long as you don't return before 13:20. So it's possible to do the return journey for as little as £31.00, which I'm sure is less than it will cost anyone driving!

Don't forget that if you arrive by Saturday evening, you can attend the dinner at the Savoy as well as the Film Fair at the Cliffs on the Sunday!

Anybody going to see the maestro Phil Kelsall playing the mighty Wurlitzer at the Blackpool Tower? A must experience which is on my 'bucket list'.
