Hi,
I recently picked up a Canon 514XL from the tip for 10 bucks.
It doesn't power on but i have noticed that the negative spring for the battery is severely corroded. So basically i am trying to take off the the front and back plate so I can access it. I have managed to remove the front plate
However i am having issues removing the back plate. As far as I can see there are only two screws which i have removed but i still cannot remove the back plate without breaking the plastic :S
This is the back plate i want to remove:
The actual tape container doesn't separate as far i can see, it is only from the end of the tape container to the start of the camera lens (the bit shown in the rectangle)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
