I don't know if they include the 1.0 lens as I cannot open the file (because I haven't the "zip" programm on my computer) but here is the service manual for the ST 1200 http://www.mondofoto.com/manuals/elmo+st1200+service+manual/
Hope it helps.

Thanks Dominique, but It wasn't in there. I figured it out anyways. The lens unscrews from both ends. Tight but it will come loose. Hard to believe how dirty the inside of this thing was.

Now to the next step. Figure out why the zoom is so tight!

Hi Adam,
I have been able to remove the big front lens from my Elmo f1.0, but I cannot get any of the others out for cleaning. Are all the lenses removeable, and how does it unscrew from the small end (closest to the projector)?

Yes the rear element unscrews but is nearly impossible to get off without the right tool. I use a rubber strap pipe wrench. Works fantasticly well! Helps to have two so you can grip both the large cylinder and the small rear element. But once apart you can really give it a good cleaning.

I found out why mine was so stiff. The inner cylinder was torqued too much making it compress in the center causing it to be too tight. I was able to torque it the opposite direction making it loosen up. So far seems to be working better!

Thanks for that tip Adam. How many lenses are there in the f1.0 and can you get to all of the surfaces for cleaning once you get it open?

It's always puzzling how dirt can get inside a lens, or does it only affect a zoom lens?

Adam, I posted a photo of the disassembled F1.0 lens in this earlier thread by Paul. Removing the rear of the lens is not necessary to clean all of the elements, it can all be done from the front, including the inside of the rear element: http://8mmforum.film-tech.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=003019
