Is there a software to test shutter speeds of Bolex C8 with microphone , ordinary soundcard and microsoft windows 8 ?

If it would be free , it is better .

Would there be a problem when camera repeating 64 frames per shot for example ? Do microphone distance , angle , quality chane the shutter speed variations.

It is advised not to run an empty camera (without a film inside)at high speeds as it may damage the camera. About the microphone, I don't understand your question as I tought the Bolex C8 was a silent camera.

Hello Dominique ,

Leica is more silent camera than C8 and Iphone can test the shutter speeds.I have no iphone but good computer and want to use it.

I am completely lost with your message. I don't see how a iphone could test with a micro the shutter of a double 8 silent camera. I have still things to learn [Smile]

I think it records the sound of shuttter and than analyze the sound.
To make is harder than write it , but it is there.
I found this technology by chance but there is lot of going out there especially on mobile phones.
