For my Elmo ST1200 and Bauer T610 I still use Osram Xenophot HLX lamps.
It seems those are still the brightest for 8mm projectors with 15V/150W?

Now Philips is also making them with 50 hours, but Narva has them working for 500 hours
Has anyone use those and what's your experience?

I have tried the premium branded Philips type that last 500hrs but they are not as bright or as white as the current lamps you use.
Therefore there is a trade off by using the more economical 500hr lamps, depending on how you prioritise brightness of image and the overall whiteness of the illuminated screen.

Thank you.
I rather go for brightness and a whiter picture and less hours.

Since Xenophot is a trademark of Osram, I'd be surprised to see it on a Phillips bulb even if they use the same technique of filling the glass with xenon gas.

Oddly enough, in testing ELC lamps in a 16mm projector, a standard Ushio lamp was brighter for me than an Osram Xenophot.

The Philips lamp was not branded as a Xenophot lamp Bill.
Just a long life one.

The Osram Xenophot lamps are by far the best lamps for using in Super 8mm applications that can accept them.

For 16mm use, I have no idea which lamps produce the best performance.
