I guess there must have been a topic about filming a missing part of a Super 8 movie from a HD screen ? Let's say I have a feature and there's a 3 meters missing from the start of the movie : Columbia logo - title and the two main actors - Is it possible to film that well in 2018 with sound ? Film is 24 frames per second and TV HD is more frames per second I guess ? Thanks, Gilbert

Blu-Rays are mostly all 24fps, but light might be a problem? Not filmed since 80s, but remember needing lots of light. Pre striped film is also not available is it?

Good luck

Hello, I can do it, but you must supply raw film. Please PM me for details.

I have tried it using LCD screen in a dark room, and the light coming from the screen is enough. The thing is flickers due to different fps (18/24 fps vs. 29 fps).

I don't know if there is a new tricky ways dealing with this as I found a seller selling silent new trailers which we all here have supposed they were taken from the LCD screen.

Yes there is no longer pre-stripped stock, so we must strip the film after getting developed to have the sound.

Sometimes old unused/unexposed films from Kodak (never opened) are for sale with Kodak Sound film. Expire date early 1980's. Would that still be any good to film with ?
