I watched the cutdown of the german PICCOLO FILM release „PSYCHO“ and would like to know if also in the UNIVERSAL EIGHT release the killing of Arbogast (the detective at the staircase) is missing?
I heard about another US release which contains the complete shower murder?
Every information would be great!

No , it is in the U-8 release , as well as the classic shower scene .

Hi Oliver. The complete shower murder sequence is in both Universal 8 100' (great scenes series) and 400' versions. The 200' version features an edited scene. The 400' version also features the double exposure of Norman and mother's skull at the end!

Carter,
this double exposure is missing in the german release.
In the original it fades to the car in the swamp; this sequence is missing.
Here, Norman looks into the camera - black!
Strange...
