Chip, Nothing on the second-hand list, i can't afford a new copy but saying that recent experiences tells me that a good second hand copy might be better than a new one.

You should be happy if you do find one. I got mine new, and even to this day the color and sound is very good without rerecording it to stereo (I don't have the equipment or knowledge although a GS1200 with sync generator would be all I need). I have a very big library of films, wanting to re-record some of them is a must, but at this point I doubt it will ever get done.

Yes Kev you are right. However, on my copy not all the reels are the same level. Reels 1-3-4 are great and strong, reel 2 very low. Grrrrrrrrrr my pet peeve of super 8 prints.

Hint taken, Out of the office till Wednesday then I'll get it sorted for you. Now if you had a GS you could record that reel 2 again at hopefully a higher level.
Kev.
-------------------- GS1200 Xenon with Elmo 1.0...great combo along with a 16-CL Xenon for that super bright white light.
