I just thought I'd pass on that I just listed my feature print of The Rescuers, (Disney, 1977, the original feature). I would rate the color very good, but not absolutely perfect. It doesn't have perfect blacks, but this may be the original state of the negative, but it does have vibrantly the full spectrum of color. It is one of those Italian releases, with a re-recorded extrememly sharp mono recording. It's on 3M 34 safety film, a rather thick film stock for Super 8mm.
The film has some flecks to the image which is from the negative that it was copied from. I'm sorry, I wish I could supply snap shots of the frames to show, (I really want to show off my prints on the forum!) The sharpness is of, I would say, the "Ken Digests" of the 1970's, not Derann level of sharpness, but certianly OK.
I don't know how to make a link to the ebay auction, but it has 6 days left as of today.
Ask any questions you'd like. I have a starting bid of 70.00 on the print.
I guess it's just that when you've been spoiled with Derann prints, it's kind of hard to settle for less than Derann Disney's, but it's still a fun curio!
