* “BIRTH OF A NATION” (1914/1915 – Directed by D.W. Griffith, with Lillian Gish) Two brothers, Phil and Ted Stoneman, visit their friends in Piedmont, South Carolina: the family Cameron. This friendship is affected by the Civil War, as the Stonemans’ and the Camerons’ must join up opposite armies. The consequences of the War in their lives are shown in connection to major historical events, like the development of the Civil War itself, Lincoln's assassination, and the birth of the Ku Klux Klan. “WAY OUT WEST” (Laurel and Hardy, James Finlayson, 1937) Stan and Ollie are charged with delivering the deed to a valuable gold mine to the daughter of a dead prospector. However they reckon without the machinations of her evil guardian Mickey Finn who is determined to have the gold mine for himself and his saloon singer wife Lola. Featured: “The Trail of the Lonesome Pine”, “We’re Going to Go Right Down to Dixie” and “At the Ball” -- the little song sung during the timeless dance routine from Laurel & Hardy. * “WITH LOVE AND HISSES” (Laurel and Hardy, James Finlayson, 1927) Slow-witted army private Cuthbert Hope (Laurel) manages to makes life miserable for his gruff Top Sargeant Banner (Hardy). Banner must also report back to firm Captain Bustle (Finlayson). This rare short featuring Laurel & Hardy was made before the duo was listed as a team. One Standard 8mm, Silent B&W, 400 foot reel. * “TILLIE’S PUNCTURED ROMANCE” (Charles Chaplin & Marie Dressler, Mable Normand, Mack Swain, 1914) Charlie talks wealthy farmer's daughter Tillie into eloping with him (and taking her father's money). In the city Tillie gets drunk and lands in jail while Charlie runs off with her money and his old girlfriend Mabel. Later Charlie reads that Tillie (now working as a waitress) has inherited the estate of her multi-millionaire uncle. Charlie dumps Mabel and talks Tillie into moving into her uncle's villa, and Mabel arranges to become a housemaid there. *“MISS FATTY’S SEASIDE LOVERS” (Fatty Arbuckle, Harold Lloyd, Billy Gilbert, 1915) The only surviving film of Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle and Harold Lloyd, together. Roscoe, who also directed the film, plays a girl; Harold, of course, is without glasses, as a suitor. Keystone Film Co. “BUFFALO BILL’S WILD WEST SHOW” (Stadium pageantry, seen throughout the USA and Europe, from 1883 until 1913, with Horses, Sharpshooters, Native American Indians and Buffalo Bill himself) Two 200 ft. “LI’L ABNER” A Niles Film Products Super 8mm, magnetic sound, B&W film on a 400 ft. Reel in the original box: A 1940 film based on the comic strip of the same name created by Al Capp. The most recognizable name associated with the film is Buster Keaton as Lonesome Polecat. Therefore, the many odd-ball delightful citizens of Dogpatch are entertaining unknowns. The Price is $7 / $3 S&H = $10 Total Cost.

“THE ST. VALENTINE’S DAYS MASSACRE” (1967 gangster film based on the 1929 Chicago mass murder of seven members of the Northside Gang starring Jason Robards, George Segal) One Super 8mm, with magnetic sound, B&W 200 foot Reel -- The 20th Century Fox Edition in original box -- Price is $4 / $3 S&H = $7 Total Cost.
