I have up for auction a Mint Elmo ST-180E. This is in perfect
condition, and has had all the belts replaced, lubed and cleaned.

I still after, all these years, cant workout the exact differances between this and the ST600D. The specs look the same to me as does the layout of the machine itself. Just a different colour.

Same here, now that you mention it... Maybe it's just two different revisions of the same machine except Elmo actually chose to change the model name down the road as well... It's also conceivable that they actually made the two machines separately for the European and American markets... thinking along the lines of ST-180E as in 180 meters and ST-600M as in 600 feet here (which is the same size reel)...
