Does anyone make or sell 600ft reels for standard/regular 8? I'm not looking for super 8 reels with an adapter, (I can make up plenty of those myself), but dedicated standard 8 ones.
Even 8inch reel to reel tape spools will work, but I can't find any of those either!
Thanx.

David,
I had a rummage in the cellar this afternoon to find some material for my son's cine show at his old nursery tomorrow. Show is sorted, but I also found 2 600' reels with a R8 fitting. Very nice metal reels. They look like they were used for reel to reel tape. I bought a R8 print of Fritz Lang's 'Destiny' last year at Ealing. This film was mounted on these reels. Unfortunately, my favourite R8 projector for silents (the Elmo SP Hi-Deluxe) doesn't accomodate 600' reels (which is a big shame). You are welcome to these reels.

Hi Rob,
Yes please, I'd like them. Perhaps I could pop down to pick them up if you PM me with your address; or else we could meet somewhere between here and Brighton, - whichever is more convenient to you.
Thanx.

Looks like I'll have to resort to using super 8 reels with adapters. Pity, as I prefer to keep everything properly dedicated.
So, here's the thing.
If anyone has a surfeit of 600ft Bonum reels with cases, I'd be more than interested.
