Greetings. I am a Super 8 collector and own no 16mm films. I met a guy who has a package of 16mm films, 2 projectors and a screen (which I don't need). He is selling all for $450 (U.S.). The features are- Mighty Joe Young, Hell Night, Moulin Rouge, Duel in the Sun, Bright Leaf, Thief of Bagdad and Swiss Family Robinson (the black and white version from the 40's). The projectors are a Bell and Howell Autoload and a Filmo. Seems like a good deal- he said all the films were in good shape except Moulin Rouge which is turning. Not having looked at anything on 16mm- are values comparable to super 8 and is this a good deal?

Is DUEL IN THE SUN a colour print?
There are some unfortunate looking B&W prints around which are pretty worthless.

If the projectors are half decent ones then you're essentially getting the films for free!
