Fuji film stock holds up very well, but if I was offered two copies of the same film, one on Agfa and one on Fuji, I would go for the Agfa.

Hi Maurice:
Thank you for your posting!!! I am a major Jerry Lewis collector and bought a 16mm print of "Three On A Couch" last night on Fuji stock. Usually these print's on this title only turn up on standard eastman stock and that's why I went for this Fuji print. I like Agfa a bit better as well but I just had to go for this Fuji print of this title. It was listed as Fuji "low fade" stock. I have no idea when this print was struck. I hope the color hold's up. It will hold up better than regular eastman for sure. This title is very difficult to find in the 16mm format and not out on any video format anywhere.

Hi Again Maurice:
Yes, I think I made a wise decision about this print. It had a "buy it now" and any mention of "low fade" on an older title usually get's my attention. I was unable to get the seller to read me the date code numbers of the Fuji stock. But I thought I had better purchase the print quickly since it was just listed. It would have sold very quickly with the "buy it now"!!! A 1980 Fuji sound's good to me and definately "low fade" stock. Usually it's the older Fuji that turn's purplish.

Maurice:
I received the feature film and it is MINT and fantastic. Way beyond what I thought. It's just like an archive print. The date code is 06 on Fuji Safety Film. I am ecstatic to find this title MINT on Low Fade Fuji. Not ONE splice and PERFECT. For a Jerry Lewis collector getting this title on low fade stock is a dream come true. We are talking RARE here!!! I am really ecstatic and happy!!!

Thank's Maurice!
The date code on the Fuji is 06 JM. Does this mean the year 2006? I had no idea some 16mm films were still being struck this late except for a few rentals.

That must be right Tom. Fuji have always used the last digits of the year. I'm amazed that its as recent as that. Brilliant find, well done
Kev.

Hi Kev:
Thank's for the kind word's. I used the "buy it now" and it had only been listed for a couple of hour's. The two key words that caught my eye were "Low Fade". I took a chance and hit the jackpot. I think the lesson I learned here is not to give up on any title. It's unbelieveable to me that this print was apparently struck in 2006!!!
