just recieved a cheap cartoon film for my son on ebay, seller e-mailed me, this will be to your 100% satisfaction and will be treated w/ filmguard, now my question, films 800 ft. it looks warped and loose on reel almost looks like someone left it out in sun and does filmguard smell like WD40. haven't ran it yet till i talk to the real filmgods. Im with Michael on this one.
To me it smells identical to WD-40, I have even discussed this with Brad out of curiosity.
I can state unequivocally that FilmGuard is definitely NOT made from WD-40, and if anyone uses WD-40 on a film I will 'guarantee' I will never purchase that print from them
