my projector seems to have developed a fault, there is a crackling noise heard over the projector's built in speaker and indeed the cover speaker. This happens when the motor is switched on, even without any film loaded.
Does anyone know what is the likely cause and better still a solution?

It could be a dirty volume control. Try cleaning it with an electronic cleaner spray.

Don’t think I have ever had a green model but if memory serves me right the amp is switched on when you turn the main control switch so it could be the amp power switch arcing hence crackle?

Hi Pat,
good suggestion, have tried this with no success though.

Lee, thanks for this suggestion, I'll check this over with a technically minded friend.

Without sounding defeatist are there any uk based repair services for B+Hs in case I can't sort this out ?
