I recently bought my first 16mm projector, a 1692 turquoise TQ3.

It is in excellent condition and has already had the worm gear replaced, appears to be a very tidy job. Oddly enough, the drive belt was missing, so I bought a replacement.

The new belt seems to fit well, and runs perfectly for a while. Sometimes when I switch the motor to run, the belt rides up onto the outer flange of the motor pulley, i.e. Out of its track, towards the motor.
To the naked eye, it looks like it is lined up correctly. Has anyone experienced anything similar, or have any suggestions why it could be happening ?.

Hi Cliff,
Not happened to me. The motor shaft must be a degree or two out of alignment. It could be that the previous owner gave up and didn't replace the belt.

I agree with Paul.
It's possible that the drive pulley needs re-siting.
