Dear Colin,
Yes I wouldn't miss this event (I've been going since '89), and I've already booked my rail seats for the Friday beforehand and I come back on the following Monday. Doing it like this makes more sense to me (if you can afford the time off, that is), as I arrive in Blackpool at about 1.30 in the afternoon, so once checked into the hotel, I've got another night out in Blackpool to look forward to. Then comes the fun evening dinner (well it is when they have something edible on the menu, last years was...well I won't go there!), and the Sunday convention, what a weekend!

I'll be there, maintaining a 100% record since 1983. At the risk of repeating myself, I'll take this opportunity to say to anyone that has never been: BLACKPOOL IS A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE, DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND GO FOR THE WHOLE WEEKEND, IF YOU POSSIBLY CAN.
It's amazing what you can sometimes find there, and it's an occasion where serious collectors don't just go to buy and sell, it's a chance to relax and socialise to a degree that's impossible at any other event.
I've got a new recruit coming from London this year - any other 'first timers' coming? I seem to recall that after the last one, some new people said they would come. We're very lucky to have an event like this in the UK, so let's 'use it' and not 'lose it'!
