O.K. forum brothers, you are my last resort.....
I'm trying to identify an old cartoon that used to come on T.V. back in the 70's. It was shown on one of the variety cartoon shows, like "Porky & Friends", or Popeye, etc., where usually a variety of different cartoons were shown.
In this particular cartoon, there was a statue of a Pan (boy with animal hind legs, and horns). He is holding a flute or something to his mouth. The statue is part of a fountain. At some point, there is a deer in the forest who is being chased by dogs and hunters. The Pan statue comes to life and saves the deer. He then runs back to the fountain and freezes back into a statue.
The animation reminded me of the classic Disney era, so probably from the 40's. I remember some classical music was used in the cartoon also.
I hope someone out there may remember this cartoon and can help me with the title. Thanks for reading!
James.
