From youtube.

Let us see what was the news 22 years ago (1989) when CD just landed and beat the LP:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nX9xoKszzjk&feature=related

it says "CD sales were finally overtaking vinyl LP sales"

Really?.... Let us hear what NBC reported in 2010 for the same topic :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbimFDbPxUE&feature=related

it says "Vinyl records are coming back in a huge way!"

Vinyl, against all odds, will likely survive the age of the iPod. People are going back to square one where the only format people want to go physically purchase is the record.

I knew many members here are collecting LPs. My self, Christian, Osi, Gian, Kurt, Dino, who else....?

My nephew in Englad has a huge collection of LP's. They never went out over there. All the times I visited, there were always LP's in the record stores. And not just a few, thousands of them.

I still have all the LPs I began collecting many years ago, but never purchase them anymore, used or new. But some of my favorite CDs are ones I made by recording from those old LPs... But I do not personally own a turntable, so it's beg or borrow to get that done.

I have collected records since I was a child. I have about 2000 33 1/3 LP's. I have been spinning alot of them lately. I also have alot of CD's and cassettes too, but the vinyl rules. Nothing beats the warm sound of a record.

Actually records never really went away they were just harder to get(new releases) but I'm glad to see them back in the retail stores for the younger generation. When I sit down to enjoy an album I crank it up and look at the cover and really soak it up. I enjoy them as much as I enjoy my films.
