I am still trying to achieve the great art of uploading a picture, and ask for members' help.

In the instruction it says that a URL link will be provided which will need to be pasted into the Forum post.

Does this mean that the picture will only appear when the link is entered?

I have loaded pictures on other Forums which were not so complcated.

Can anybody go through the whole system for me, please?

I very much appreciate the earlier help from Winbert and Lee regarding re-sizing, but to an old duffer like me it seems so terribly difficult to understand.

Hi Maurice,

It's really not bad at all: is becomes second nature after you've done it a few times.

All you need to do is browse for your picture on your PC and click "submit". If the picture is OK a new web page will appear with the link you need.

You copy that link and paste it into your forum post and after you click "preview" you will see the result.

If it's OK you submit the post and you're good to go.

You may have to re-sized the picture in paint. It can be now larger than 400kb. That's where some people get confused. [Wink]

To do that open the pic in paint and change the pixel number to 400, save it and then follows Steve's instructions.

Actually, Pasquale, the upload limit is 200K per pic; maximum width of an image to be 550 pixels (trust me, when I first started uploading, I ran into those limits time and again [Big Grin] )

Maurice,

When you click on the "Post Reply" button, you're taken to the page where you type your reply in the message box. Underneath that box, on the left side is a link that reads "Click here to upload an image." If you click on that, you're taken to the Image Upload page. Scroll down and you'll see
a place to enter your user name and password. After doing that, click on the "Browse" button, which lets you choose the photo you want to upload.
Remember, the photo can't be any larger than 550 pixels wide and must be less than 200K file size. After you've chosen the photo, click the "Submit" button. If everything works properly, you'll see the "Success! Your Photo has been uploaded!" page. Copy the link for your photo and paste it into your response.
The photo should show up in your post!

Doug
