Went to my old school reunion on Saturday to celebrate the 400th Anniversary of its Foundation. I left in 1953, exactly 61 years ago today, and there were over 200 Old Boys from the years before 1968 present! One of us actually joined the school aged 11 in 1933 .... work that one out!

Most interesting was the number of wives that had accompanied their husbands, walking around with bemused expressions on their faces. Those that I asked freely admitted that they really didn't have a clue as to why all us old crocks felt such a burning need to be there.

You're lucky the school's still there. My two old schools in Weston-super-Mare have been turned into flats.

Both my schools have been knocked down and replaced with some horrible new buildings that won't last anywhere near as long has the old ones.

I love the smell of film in the morning.
