Yes, back about 20 years ago I had a job where the design work was done up here, but the factories were in South Texas, eastern Mexico, Tucson, San Diego and Tijuana.
Not a bad deal: ten weeks of interesting work followed by a week at the factory to start production, along with dinner out every night, often among friends from work.
-always better right around this time of the year!
July?...not so much!
We had visitors from the plant in eastern Mexico (Reynosa) once in November. One of them said "I want to see some snow: My Mom said she saw some once, but I haven't ever!". (Snow usually starts after Christmas here, he was just too early.)
