In my ST-1200HD's Owner's Manual is an optional acessory called an R-1 Synchronizer. Can this unit be used for snchronizing a new soundtrack over an old soundtrack on a feature film via a cassette? I have a couple of features in Spanish that I would like to change to English. [Smile]

No Dan,
You need an Elmo GS1200 and crystal lock to do this.
The R-1 Synchronizer unit is for home movie use only, unfortunately. [Frown]

Hi, Chris, thanks for the info. It looks like all synchronous roads lead to GS-1200.

The R1 unit in conjunction with a Elmo ST-projector can only control the speed of an cassette tape, playing in a special Elmo cassette deck. The projector only outputs 1 impulse per frame, that syncs the cassette tape that had been recorded with a camera and with sycn track. Only cassette tapes which has that special sync track can be used for syncing.

GS1200 Xenon with Elmo 1.0...great combo along with a 16-CL Xenon for that super bright white light.
