Great News just received from Ian of Perry's. Apparently the reason why no one gets replies to emails is because he has been hard at work creating a new multiformat entertainment system to cater for 8mm, 16mm and DVD.
A prototype is ready for display at the BFCC and if there is enough interest a manufacturer will be sought to start production.
Apparently the machine has an interchangeable gate system with double claw to allow the user to switch seamlessly from 8mm to 16mm making only one projector necessary.
Dolby stereo recording is also a feature with a crystal locked input/output. The big advantage is the incorporation of a DVD drive that will allow auto synch with the film. He has plans to install surround sound DTS into the thing as well.
I have seen it and although it is not exactly as pretty as a GS1200 it sure works well. The light out put has 4 settings which on high make your eyes water and the need for central heating redundant.

Tony ! you were sworn to secrecy, you promised you would not say a word.. shame on you! this was going to be the big surprise of the B.F.C.C. in May. Now I will have to retire back to the shed and invent something new. This reminds me of an April fools stunt we pulled back in the early nineties when the company was at Isleworth, we advertised a new lens called the "PERRYSCOPE" which claimed would project at 360" degrees round vision, made from best milk bottle glass available, priced at a knock down price of £5-99. The problem was the joke back-fired on us because we started getting cheque's through the post for this amazing product, and had to go to great length to explain to would be buyers that it was only a joke! Never Again.
